Man of Steel may very well be one of the biggest films of 2013. The story unfolds as a young boy learns that he has supernatural powers and is not from this world. As he grows older, he begins to learn more about his origin and the reason that he has been sent to planet Earth. Understanding his origins, he ultimately recognizes that his purpose is to save the world from destruction and bring hope to the world. While the story is based on the original Superman characters, this film takes the legendary series to the next level.
Starring Henry Cavill as Clark Kent, AKA Kal-El, Man of Steel features an All-Star cast that includes four-time Oscar nominee Amy Adams (Junebug, The Fighter), Academy Award Winners Kevin Costner (Dances with Wolves) and Russell Crowe (A Beautiful Mind, Gladiator), Oscar nominees Michael Shannon (Pearl Harbor, Revolutionary Road), Laurence Fishburne (What’s Love Got To Do With It, The Matrix) and Diane Lane (The Perfect Storm, Under the Tuscan Sun), along with Antje Traue, Ayelet Zurer and Christopher Meloni.
Special midnight screenings began on June 13 and then became available in theaters everywhere on June 14. The movie is rated PG-13 and is sure to bring viewers ultimate satisfaction as well as their money’s worth. Because of today’s technology, viewers are able to view the film in 2D, 3D and IMAX.
