The evening starts off with Vickie Guerrero announcing that World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio will take on WWE Champ John Cena. She didn’t even have to excuse herself.
Six of the seven contestants for the MITB Ladder Match debate each other by a ladder and underneath the Red Suitcase of Match Giving. Randy Orton ends the debate by giving Kane an RKO. CM Punk, Christian, Sheamus and Daniel Bryan exchange baleful glares and leave.
Six Man Tag Match: Christian and the Usos (Jimmy and Jay) vs. The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns)
The Usos alternate with Ambrose and Rollins, getting an early advantage. Christian tags in against Ambrose, then chases him out of the ring. As Rollins and Reigns check on Ambrose, the Usos do a double-cross body on Rollins and Reigns, and then Christian closes the deal with his own launch on Ambrose.
ACB, Rollins is stomping on Jay. He and Ambrose double suplex the warpainted Samoan. Shield beats up on Jay for 15 minutes. JBL says it’s Canada Day. He saw Christian in the back curling, listening to Justin Bieber. Jimmy finally tags in Christian, who unloads on Rollins. Christian then attacks the other Shield members. When he turns around, Rollins lays him out with a Spin Wheel Kick and tags in Ambrose. As the two tangle, Rollins and Reigns brawl with the Usos, and all fall OOR, leaving Christian and Ambrose. After Christian reverses Ambrose, Rollins jumps up and snags his head on the top rope. Ambrose then rolls up Christian for the three count.
Match: Dolph Ziggler vs. Jinder Mahal (with Drew McEntyre and Heath Slater)
Ziggie shows some cockiness as he and Mahal exchange moves. Mahal has the advantage most of the match, but Ziggler wins with a sudden Zig Zag.
Match: Randy Orton vs. Kane–Daniel Bryan is special guest referee
JBL says that Bryan looks like Chaka in stripes. Kane takes down Ordon with a combo running dropkick for a nearfall. Orton fights out of a nerve hold and takes Kane down with the Lou Thesz Press. Orton stomps on Kane, who retaliates with fist and elbow drops. Orton suckers Kane into eating the turnbuckle, then unloads on Kane. Bryan disqualifies him and Kane protests. Bryan then restarts the match.
ACB, Kane has Orton by the jaw. He bounces Orton off the corners and takes him down with a Sidewalk Slam. He jumps off top, but Orton counters with a dropkick to the gut. He takes Kane through his signature set, then starts to hear the voices. Kane reverses a DDT attempt into a choke slam, but Orton counters and gets off a Vintage Orton DDT. Kane counters an RKO attempt with a Big Boot, and Bryan gives him a fast count and the win. Kane again protests and grabs Bryan by the throat, teasing a chokeslam, but reluctantly spares Bryan and leaves. Orton then sneak attacks an RKO on Bryan.
Match: Fandango (with Summer Rae) vs. Sheamus
Fandango does a lot of posturing and butt-wiggling. Sheamus mocks him and whips him around the ring. Fanny Boy comes back with Flair Chops. Sheamus kneelifts him OOR and grabs Fandango by the hair. Fanny kicks him in the head. Fandango wraps Sheamus in a chinlock and the fake Tweets roll by. Sheamus fights out and puts The Clubberin’ on Fandango. Fan rolls out and stumbles to the exit with Summer Rae. Sheamus wins by countout.
Match: The Miz vs. Ryback
Chris Jericho joins the announcers. Ryback clubs Miz down and bounces Miz’s skull off the mat. He stomps Miz and paintbrushes him in contempt. He continues to brutalize Miz as Jericho does most of the announcing. Miz comes back with kneelifts and running dropkicks to Ryback’s right leg. He then focuses more attacks on Ryback’s leg, and Ryback tells the ref to stop the match. As Ryback and Miz argue, Jericho sneaks in a Codebreaker on the Rye.
Tag Match: CM Punk and Curtis Axel vs. The Prime Time Playahs (Titus O’Neil and Darren Young)
Punk distrusts Axel, and Axel tries to win the match single-handedly. He counters Young’s attacks, and O’Neil tags in. He powers Axel down and the two dominate Axel for a while. Punk makes a hot tag. He takes down Young with a high running knee, then does the Macho Man Elbow Drop to the Heart. He takes Young down with the GTS. Titus runs in to try the save, but Punk tosses him OOR. Axel slaps Punk’s shoulder, then runs in to pin Young. Punk is not pleased.
Divas Match: Alicia Fox vs. Kaitlyn (with Layla)
Kaitlyn dominates for a while, then Alicia turns the tables. Lawler says he and Layla would look good on top of a wedding cake. Kaitlyn wins with The Spear, and then AJ’s music plays. AJ comes out with Big E and the mike. She tells Kaitlyn she didn’t appreciate her character assassination last week. She says she’s going to show everybody a pic of Kaitlyn from her modeling days. A photoshopped pic of Kaitlyn’s head on a fat body in a bikini appears on the Jumbotron, and AJ merrily skips away.
Match: Cody Rhodes (with Damian Sandow) vs. Antonio Cesaro (with Zeb Colter and Jack Swagger)
Cesaro throws Cody across the ring with a Gut Wrench. Rhodes get in an underhook, and the two exchange near falls. Cesaro knocks Cody OOR with a European Uppercut. Cody tries to roll up Cesaro when he gets back in the ring, but Cesaro traps him and wins with The Neutralizer.
Match: Alberto Del Rio vs. John Cena
Ricardo Rodriguez is absent, as Dolph Ziggler caved in his head with a guitar last week. Del Rio starts off with a headlock, and Cena fights him off with shoulder tackles. Del Rio Leap Frogs and hip rolls Cena. Cena goes for the AA, but Ricardo rolls OOR. Del Rio gains the advantage upon re-entry, but Cena reverses his suplex attempt. He then misses a charge to the corner and hits his shoulder on the steel post. Del Rio takes down Cena with a Top Rope Chop and attempts a running drop kick. Cena ducks and Del Rio lands OOR on his cula.
ACB, Del Rio is in charge. He goes for another Top Rope Chop, but Cena counters with a standing dropkick. He takes Del Rio down with running shoulder tackles, but Del Rio gets in a surprise Backstabber. Cena counters with You Can’t See Me, then the 5-Knuckle Shuffle. Del Rio counters an AA attempt, but Cena comes back with a Belly-to-Belly. Del Rio gets a near fall with a Tilt-A-Whirl Backbreaker. He hangs Cena in a Tree of Woe and charges, but Cena does a vertical situp. Del Rio hits the ring post with his shoulder. Cena gets in a cross-body for two.
Mark Henry shows up and walks around the ring. Ricardo takes Cena down with a Head Kick for two. Then, Dolph Ziggler shows up and jumps on the ring apron. Del Rio yells at him, and Cena sneaks in an Attitude Adjustment for the win.
