Under the Dome
On August 5th, change the channel to CBS to watch Under the Dome. The thriller is from horror author Stephen King, and the network broadcasts the show at 10pm eastern time. Under the Dome is set in a quaint New England town named Chester’s Mill. At the beginning of the series, a large see-through dome sealed the town off from the world, and as a result, it trapped most of the community’s residents. The town people must now find a way to survive.
Siberia
NBC is currently experimenting with a new program called Siberia. The show is a scripted drama that depicts a group of reality show contestants. In fact, the reality show presentation is real enough to have fooled a few viewers at the beginning of the series into believing that it was a real reality show. The contestants are attempting to survive a winter in the harsh environment to win a cash prize. However, an unexplained incident occurred in the region 100 years earlier, and as the contestants begin filming the show, strange events start to happen. At first, the group believes that the show’s producers are attempting to scare them, but when one of them becomes injured and no one arrives to help, they realize that they are on their own and must work together to survive the experience. Siberia is on August 5th at 9:00pm eastern time.
So You Think You Can Dance
FOX network is now airing its popular dance program called So You Think You Can Dance. Unlike another network’s dancing program, the contestants on FOX’s show can actually dance. This week, the program’s top 12 performers will dance to remain in the competition. They perform a variety of dance styles including ballroom, contemporary and hip-hop as well as jazz and Broadway. Initially, the judges select the male and female dancer that will leave the competition, but once 10 dancers remain on the show, the male and female dancer with the lowest votes will fail to win the prize. So You Think You Can Dance airs August 6 at 8pm eastern time.
With the variety of television programing available today, you’ll surely find plenty of on-screen entertainment.
